Does your ACT essay score impact your composite score?

I know on the SAT the essay is incorporated into the Writing score. Does the ACT do something similar? Or is the essay just a separate score that's not included in your composite at all?

ACT Reading - Should I read the questions or passage first?

I’m really working on improving my ACT reading score (23). Something I am confused about is whether I should be reading the passage before looking at the questions, or reading all of the questions before reading the passage. What are the pros and cons of each?

SAT score 150 points lower than predicted?

I got a 1650 on my SAT, and I was expecting to get at least an 1800. I did a fair amount of prep work before the test on my own and with Princeton Review books. Where am I going wrong? How can I make sure I reach my goal next time?

Will a C ruin my chances at top schools?

I have dreams of going to the most competitive schools in the country, but I think I sabotaged myself by getting a C in AP Calculus. I don't want to be a science/math major, so that's probably good, but I still feel like the C might be a dealbreaker. I have all As otherwise. How worried should I be?
