What percentage of students scored a perfect 36 in 2015-2016? Are there schools that weigh a good writing score heavily?

Approximately 0.08 percent of students who took the ACT in 2015 got a perfect 36 (around 1,600 students out of 1.92 million). The Writing score is valued by some schools, but it's never considered more seriously than your multiple choice scores. You can read more about which schools ask students to submit the ACT Writing section and how they evaluate your scores here.
