I'm a sophomore, and I already took the PSAT. I was planning on taking the SAT junior fall and then again junior spring if necessary. Is this a good idea, or should I wait to take the SAT until junior spring?

Taking the SAT for the first time junior fall is a really good idea. This way, you'll have plenty of chances to retake the test and improve your score before you apply to college. Just remember that only PSAT scores from your junior year will count towards the National Merit Scholarship Competition. If you're hoping to win a National Merit Scholarship, you will need to take the PSAT again junior fall.
