According to the PrepScholar website, the average GPA for a Cornell student is a 4.01. Is this grade weighted or unweighted? This seems a little strange to me because according to the PrepScholar website, other schools such as UCLA have higher GPA requirements than Cornell, which is Ivy League.

If you ever see a GPA that is above 4.00, then it must be weighted, because by definition, weighted GPAs max out at 4.00. And of course, even 4.00 is rarely achieved by any college.

This response is general and not specific to any detailed drill-down into any particular PrepScholar page.
