Do SAT scores expire?

Do you need to have SAT scores from the same year that you apply to college? Or are the scores good for longer? Say, for example, I took the SAT junior fall and was satisfied with my score. Could I submit that score to colleges even though I didn't earn it within the application year?

Can I report SAT II scores without reporting SAT I scores?

I got a better score on the ACT than the SAT, so I was planning on just sending my ACT scores to colleges. I'm applying to schools that ask you to send all scores from either the SAT I/SAT II, the ACT, or both tests. My problem is that I did very well on my SAT subject tests, so I'd like colleges to...

Send all SATs or all ACTs to Yale?

I have a 2400 on the SAT and a 35 on the ACT. I know I have nothing to worry about with both of these scores, but my issue is with SAT subject tests. I kind of went overboard and took too many subject tests, and two out of my five scores are in the 600s. I'm worried these scores will hurt me in the ...

Will a C ruin my chances at top schools?

I have dreams of going to the most competitive schools in the country, but I think I sabotaged myself by getting a C in AP Calculus. I don't want to be a science/math major, so that's probably good, but I still feel like the C might be a dealbreaker. I have all As otherwise. How worried should I be?

Should I take AP Calculus or AP Statistics?

I'm going to be a senior next year, and I can't decide which class to take. I've struggled a bit in my Pre-Calc class this year, so I'm not sure if I can handle AP Calculus. I'm thinking about taking AP Statistics instead since I think I may be a business major in college. The schools I'm considerin...

Difference between 3.7 and 4.0 GPA in the eyes of colleges?

I thought I had a 4.0 GPA because I've never earned a grade lower than a 90 in any of my high school classes. It turns out, however, that on the unweighted GPA scale my GPA is actually a 3.7 (according to my guidance counselor). I've taken the most difficult classes throughout high school, and I'm h...

I’m interested in applying as a transfer student to a few colleges where I was rejected as a freshman applicant. Will they be able to pull up my previous application in their system? Or do I get a fresh start?

SAT superscoring - is it worth it for a very small point increase?

I've taken the SAT twice. My first score was a 1520, and my second score was a 1580. My issue is that I actually scored 10 points higher on one section when I got the 1520, so my superscore comes out to a 1590. Is it worth it to send both of these scores to colleges so I have a higher superscore? Or...

I live in a state where all high school students have to take the ACT. Are my scores from the state-mandated test ok to submit to colleges? Or do I need to take the ACT again independently and submit those scores instead?

This may be a ridiculous question, but I'm wondering whether colleges ever reject students whose test scores and GPA are well above their average range? For example, if someone with a 2400 applied to a school where the average SAT score of accepted students was a 1700, could they get rejected? My th...

Applying to Cornell engineering without Physics and Calculus?

My school does not have Physics at all, and Calculus conflicts with AP Literature. I really want to take AP Lit but I am going into engineering most likely so if I miss Calculus that would be pretty bad.
