Do SAT scores expire?

Do you need to have SAT scores from the same year that you apply to college? Or are the scores good for longer? Say, for example, I took the SAT junior fall and was satisfied with my score. Could I submit that score to colleges even though I didn't earn it within the application year?

Hi! (this may get a little long) Im a sophomore (2015-2016 or this school year) in high school (will be a junior for the 2016-2017 school year) currently debating wether I should take the SAT or the ACT. Can I report SAT II scores without reporting SAT I scores?

I got a better score on the ACT than the SAT, so I was planning on just sending my ACT scores to colleges. I'm applying to schools that ask you to send all scores from either the SAT I/SAT II, the ACT, or both tests. My problem is that I did very well on my SAT subject tests, so I'd like colleges to...

Choosing Between the ACT and SAT

Hello, I am an upcoming senior with the goal of attending Yale in the Fall of 2018. The biggest problem I have with college admissions is SAT / ACT scores. Which test is better for me? I have taken both once, with my most recent SAT being a 1280 composite (680 RW, 600 M) and 27 ACT (35 Eng, 27 Math,...

Send all SATs or all ACTs to Yale?

I have a 2400 on the SAT and a 35 on the ACT. I know I have nothing to worry about with both of these scores, but my issue is with SAT subject tests. I kind of went overboard and took too many subject tests, and two out of my five scores are in the 600s. I'm worried these scores will hurt me in the ...

SATs VS Subject Tests

I have taken the new SAT, and I got a 1380 combined but I know that if I re-do them this December, I will get a higher score. I have also taken my A-Levels early and I got two A’s and an A*. I considered taking the subject tests this December as well. Is it more advantageous to re-take the SAT or to...

Mechanical engineering with a 600 Math SAT?

I really want to get into a good mechanical engineering program, but I'm concerned because my Math score is only a 600 (lower than both my Reading and Writing scores). I've gotten As in all my math and science classes in high school, so there's no issue on that front. Should I reconsider my major be...

SAT score 150 points lower than predicted?

I got a 1650 on my SAT, and I was expecting to get at least an 1800. I did a fair amount of prep work before the test on my own and with Princeton Review books. Where am I going wrong? How can I make sure I reach my goal next time?

Will my scores be cancelled if I wrote on the SAT answer sheet?

If I have to skip a question on the SAT, I write the number of the question next to the section on the answer sheet to remind myself to come back to it. I forgot to erase a couple of these numbers before I turned in my test. I didn't know before the test that you aren't supposed to make stray marks ...

My March 10, 2018 SAT score was 1470. (680 Reading & Writing, 790 Math). My essay score was a complete disaster (4,2,5). Even though my previous SAT essay score- December 2,2017- was 5,5,5.(The SAT score was 1370). The universities of my choice do not require an essay (they're not in the US). Wi...

I scored pretty low on the PSAT because I always blank out on questions when I don't know the answer right away. I would like to find a study resource that walks through answer explanations clearly and shows me exactly how to apply my knowledge on the types of questions that the SAT asks. Which book...
